Adopt A School
We believe strongly that the Church is placed in the community to be a blessing. We have started our "Adopt A School" program to begin to reach out to the schools in our community and enable them to serve the children.
River of Life's very own, Dwayne Snowden, is the principal of Jacksonville Commons Elementary, the first school in our program. He has met with the staff of JCE and has given us a list of ways we can support this school.

- Ziploc Bags - Gallon and Quart sizes
- Dry erase markers - both small and large
- Tissues (Kleenex)
- Glue Sticks
- Pencils
- Anti-bacterial soap
- Reward stickers
- Pocket folders
- Pencil Boxes
- Black Sharpie markers
Additionally there were a few items requested by individual departments and staff
- Children's belts and pants/jeans (K through 5th grade sizes) - School Counselor
- Electric pencil sharpener - Art Department
- AA batteries - Special Education
